Klarissa is Chief Equity Officer and Principal Founder CEO of Klarissa M. Corporation. She has a Master of Arts in Counseling and skillfully interweaves humanistic person centered counseling skills into the growth process of system transformation, racial healing, and the practical application of equity and anti-oppression tools.
She has a special expertise in homeless crisis response with 15+ years of direct experience serving those living through homelessness in Pierce County, developing and implementing equitable homeless response programs, funding and providing technical assistance to homeless response systems across the state of Washington, and overcoming the lived experience of homelessness herself as a young adult working shelter in Tacoma.
How it started & How it's going
How it Started: After years of experience in homeless response, and the practical application of equity tools, Klarissa took all the knowledge she learned and established Klarissa Montero LLC on July 24th, 2020. Since then she has consulted with government and non-profit agencies all over the State of Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Indiana. It has truly been a life changing experience and we are forever grateful for all of the support from our community and partners.
How it's Going: Klarissa M Corp. is now established on July 27th, 2024 as a family corporation that utilizes our specialized training and expertise to empower healing and transformation across systems, across america.
